ChatGPT is OpenAI's consumer-facing AI assistant and the default starting point for most marketers using AI. The product is now a multi-model platform, GPT-5, image generation, voice, video, code interpreter, agents, and a self-serve Ads Manager that launched in 2025 for advertisers running campaigns inside ChatGPT directly. For marketing work, it covers writing, research, ideation, briefs, light coding, and increasingly autonomous task execution via Operator. It's not the best tool for any single job, but it's the most flexible single subscription you can have, and the one most of your team is probably already using on personal accounts.
