Moosend

Category: Email/Newsletter

Capable email automation at a price that will surprise you.

Moosend is an email marketing and automation platform aimed squarely at teams who want the features of the expensive tools without the invoice. You get a drag-and-drop email builder with a decent template library, a visual automation editor for multi-step flows built on real triggers like behaviour, purchase, page visit and custom fields, list segmentation, A/B testing, landing pages and subscription forms, and reporting that includes revenue attribution rather than only opens and clicks. There is an AI-driven product recommendation engine for ecommerce, countdown timers and other campaign widgets, and integrations across the usual ecommerce and CRM platforms plus an API and SMTP access for transactional sending. Pricing is by subscriber count with unlimited sends on paid plans, which is unusual in this category and matters if you mail frequently.

Our verdict

The value case here is genuinely strong. Unlimited sends on a subscriber-based plan is the headline, because most rivals meter emails and that is exactly what punishes you for mailing your list properly. The automation editor is capable enough for real lifecycle flows, abandoned cart, re-engagement, post-purchase, and the revenue reporting means you can tie a flow to money rather than opens. Deliverability on shared infrastructure is the usual thing to watch on any value-priced ESP, so warm up properly and keep your list clean. The template library and design polish sit a step behind the premium tools, and the ecosystem of integrations is smaller than the market leaders. If budget is the constraint and you are prepared to do the deliverability basics, it over-delivers for the price.

Best for: Small and mid-size teams and ecommerce brands who want proper automation and segmentation without paying Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign money for it.
